Cultural cooperation

The regulatory document is the Agreement on Cultural Cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Government of the Republic of Turkey dated April 30, 2018.

Significant event in 2018 it was the signing of an intergovernmental agreement on cultural cooperation, the establishment of twinning of Khiva with Bolu, the holding of the International Conference "Threats of the 21st Century and the Role of Enlightened Islam" in Istanbul, the organization of transfer to Uzbekistan of exclusive copies of 170 miniatures of Kamoliddin Bekhzod stored in the Ottoman Museum Empire "Topkapi" in Istanbul, as well as the beginning of restoration work in the mosque of Khuzh Mahmud Anzhdir Fagnaviy (Bukhara).

In 2018 The following work was carried out:

- visit of the First Deputy Minister of Tourism and Culture of Turkey prof. H. Dursuna at the opening ceremony of the I International Poppy Festival in Shakhrisabz on September 6-10, 2018. with the participation of a musical group of the Turkish Ardahan University;

- with the assistance of the mayor's office of the Kechiori and Etymisgut districts of Ankara, "Days of Culture of Uzbekistan" were organized;

- the opening ceremony of the VI competition of the “International Archers Cup named after F. Sultana ”in Samarkand on May 23, 2018;

- exclusive copies of the translation of the book of the Small Canon of Medicine of Ibn Sina "Kitab El-Kanun El-Sagir Fit-Tibb" in the original language were sent to Uzbekistan, and the formation of the library fund for the creation and manuscripts of Abu Ali ibn Sina was started;

- the “Presentation of Uzbekistan” was held in Bolu on November 20, 2018, incl. presented the cultural and humanitarian potential of Uzbekistan .;

- visit to Uzbekistan was organized by the producer of the world famous TV series Ertugrul: Renaissance M. Bozdag. in order to organize a press conference on cooperation in the implementation of the film project "Jaloliddin Manguberdi".

Educational cooperation

The regulatory document is the Protocol on Cooperation in Higher Education between the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Higher Education Council of the Republic of Turkey dated April 30, 2018.

More than 25 negotiations were held with leading universities of Turkey, visits of delegations of the Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan and the International Center named after him were organized. Imam Al Bukhari and the State University of Journalism and Mass Communications in Turkey, Kastamonu University, Khojatepe University, Seljuk University, Institute of Public Administration of Turkey and the Middle East, Ardahan University in Uzbekistan.

As a result, memorandums of cooperation were signed with the following educational institutions;

- Seljuk University and Singapore Institute of Management;

- Seljuk University and Tashkent State University of Economics;

- Seljuk University and Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan;

- International Center. Imam Al Bukhari - Kastamonu University;

- Ibn Khaldun University, Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University, Recep Tayyip Erdogan University, im. Ibn Khalduna and Center for International Studies, Higher Madrasah Mir Arab (Bukhara);

- State University of Journalism and Mass Communications – Gazi University, Hajeteppe University, Seljuk University, Istanbul University and Ibn Khaldun University.

The issue of providing government grants for masters and doctoral students of Uzbekistan in the field of engineering, hospitality, tourism, textiles, bioengineering, textiles, architecture and construction in leading universities is being studied.

Cooperation in the field of health

The regulatory document is the Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Health of Turkey on cooperation in the field of healthcare dated October 26, 2017.

In the field of healthcare in 2018 The following work was carried out:

- Turkey was visited by an expert group from Uzbekistan for a detailed study of the Turkish health system. A statement on the Turkish experience in the development of medical tourism was prepared specifically for the delegation;

- Negotiations were organized between the khokimiyat of the Olotsky district of the Bukhara region and the City Administration of Gaziantep on November 31, 2018. on the exchange of experience in the field of healthcare between the cities of Bukhara and Gaziantep;

- The cooperation of the University of Hajattepe with transplantation with the Republican Center for Emergency Medicine of Uzbekistan was established;

- Together with TIKA, a number of major projects were implemented;

- The Roadmap for cooperation between the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan and Turkey was signed.

Science Collaboration

Interaction in the field of science remained one of the necessary areas of bilateral cooperation. In particular, signed:

- Protocol between the Ministry of Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Council for Scientific and Technological Research of the Republic of Turkey;

- The program of events between the Uzstandard Agency and the Turkish Institute of Standards for 2018-2020.

- Protocol on cooperation in the field of science, technology and innovation between the Ministry of Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Council for Scientific and Technical Research of Turkey (TUBITAK);

- Protocol on cooperation in the field of archives between the Uzarchive Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Main Directorate of the State Archive of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Turkey.
